The Art of Bragi is a hidden gem in Freattyda that is worth discovering if you like places with good drinks, beautiful foreign music, and a lively atmosphere. With its windows open to the sea and the sea breeze filling the bar, it doesn’t take long to think that you are in some distant port and you are having fun with your friends. Tavern Ramnous
The Ramnous Tavern, despite being rather far from the city centre, is absolutely worth a visit. In the vast hall and gorgeous patio, you may sample great local meat (the lamb chops are particularly noteworthy). Also, the appetisers are prepared with great care. Lotza in Ilioupoli is currently one of the best places for souvlaki in Athens. It doesn’t have gyros, but the variety, quality and taste of all their products make a visit here unforgettable. In Ilioupoli there is a hidden gem of Greek creative cuisine that will truly surprise you. Fata Morgana has Imaginative dishes, impeccably executed with creative touches and full of flavours. The service is impeccable and the space (especially the interior) is originally decorated. Tip: Don’t forget to try the salad with fried goat cheese and the delicious peinirli. (Leof. Olympion in Mets is a restaurant that is a constant reference point for those looking for homemade food in Athens. It has been operating since 2001, but its atmosphere is reminiscent of the old Athens restaurants, with warmth and simplicity. On the menu you will find classic dishes of the day such as meatballs, moussaka and pastitsio. It has fanatical patrons of all ages, who flock daily for its generous and hearty portions. Epos Burgers Glyfada
Among the dozens of shops serving burgers in Athens, it is now really difficult to single out some that stand out. Epos in Glyfada is one of them. With an excellent smash burger and fluffy, delicious bun, its burgers stand out for their quality. In Argyroupoli, a neighbourhood that has always stood out for its beer halls, Beerla stands out with its distinctive bar atmosphere. The new arrival for souvlaki in Athens that everyone is talking about is located in Hymettusves old-fashioned pork or chicken souvlaki and juicy burgers, wrapped or in pieces. Gioma in Agios Dimitrios is no longer a hidden secret. From a neighbourhood tavern, it has now evolved into a meeting point for all of Athens. In the warm and welcoming space with its cheerful decoration, you will taste delicious Greek cuisine in hearty portions and good prices.
